The National Association of Counties has an overview of the economic stimulus proposal offered by the U.S. House of Representatives Democratic Leadership which is being called the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. The proposal includes funding for highways and bridges, some of which would be divided by local areas. The proposal also includes funding for water infrastructure, rural development, broadband and wireless expansion and school construction for both K-12 and higher education.
